Costume Contest Rules:

You must be at least 13 years old or older to submit photos for the costume contest on this website.
No nudity, offensive or lewd image submissions.
Submission of an entry constitutes the irrevocable grant to 99CostumeIdeas.com and TheHalloweenBusiness.com all rights in the entry, all rights to publish, use, adapt, edit, and/or modify such entry in any way without limitation or acknowledgement to the entrant and the unconditional right to use the photograph for promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
This contest is void where prohibited by law.

Your Email address and Last Name will NOT be displayed on our website. We will use your email only to contact you if your costume is among our contest winners. You may also subscribe to receive email notifications whenever a new comment is posted to your costume.

Submission Guidelines

Submit up to five photos with each contest entry. Make sure the photos are at least 640 pixels in width. Original photos only. We will not publish photos with copyright sign, website address and other wording. To include your website/blog/Facebook address, please use the corresponding field in the costume contest entry form. If you're sending photos of more than one costume creation or look, please submit them as separate entries, not all in one. Exceptions to the rule are matching couples costumes, themed family costumes and group costumes.

If your costume is homemade, please describe how you created your costume, what materials did you use and its cost. Please also include some instructions and tips that you would like to share! If you bought your costume, what is the name of the manufacturer, what accessories you bought and the make-up effects on your face. Please provide as much information about your costume as you can! The source of your costume idea, how did you make your costume, what materials did you use, overall cost. This helps other people learn how you mastered your amazing creation.

Your submission to our contest (photos and description) must be original and created by you (not copied from other websites), in good taste, legal, accurate and true, non-defamatory, non-threatening, non-confidential, non-infringing of copyrights owned by others.

99CostumeIdeas.com and TheHalloweenBusiness.com are not responsible for lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, or other connections, miscommunications, failed phone or computer hardware or software or telephone transmissions or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmissions or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic.

SELECTION OF WINNERS AND JUDGING CRITERIA
All eligible entries will be judged by 99CostumeIdeas.com and TheHalloweenBusiness.com staff. The judging criteria to be used will be based on creativity/originality of costume and quality of costume description and photos. Winners will be notified via email. By participating, entrants agree to these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of the judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
Additional prizes may be added upon the judges’ discretion.

ELIGIBILITY
Contest void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Winners will be notified by email and must respond within ten (10) days of attempted notification or be disqualified. If a prize is returned as undeliverable, potential winner will be disqualified.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, or other technical problem, 99CostumeIdeas.com and TheHalloweenBusiness.com may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) suspend the Contest to address the impairment and then resume the Contest in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Terms; or (b) award the prize from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. 99CostumeIdeas.com and TheHalloweenbusienss.com reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, 99CostumeIdeas.com and TheHalloweenBusiness.com reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
